Superblak is a young studio for animation, design and film based in Frankfurt, Germany.
Founders Tim Bollinger and K. Ulrich Schneider both studied media design and spent several years working in postproduction and motiondesign before superblak opened its doors in spring 2010. Bumm Bamm.
We love to concieve ideas as much as turning them into moving images. We conceptualize, design and realize.

They created this film for the exhibition of "Niclaus Gerhaert", a sculptor from the middle ages. Besides his amazing true to life figures carved out of wood, a main inspiration for their concept was the massive research the people at the Museum did. With the newest technique they explored new art-historical innovations...hope you enjoy the little journey through Superblak´s world of investigation.

The Short "Between" deals with the continual inner conflict between ease and restlesness, with beeing caught in a world of discord. Depicting a journey through worlds of the subconscious, it allows us to catch sinister glimpses of the human psyches ambivalence.
